Terms & Conditions

Eligibility - only people who are currently employed or volunteering in roles that involve working directly with children living in, or looked after by, the London Borough of Lambeth (or working with their families) are eligible to attend. You may only book onto training if you meet this eligibility criteria. You cannot book training on behalf of someone else.

Cancellations - must be made more than 2 working days before the start of the course via the booking system. In emergency situations, such as unplanned absence or illness, please contact lscptraining@lambeth.gov.uk immediately. You may nominate a delegate from your service to attend in your stead, provided they also comply with these terms and conditions and that you provide their information to lscptraining@lambeth.gov.uk

Bookings - close 2 working days before the start of the course, however, we do sometimes get late cancellations. Please contact lscptraining@lambeth.gov.uk directly to enquire about places after this date. Applicants should ensure they follow their agency procedures for booking training. Line managers will be notified of any non-attendance after booking.

Certificates - will only be issued for attendance of the full course. Certificates will only be released on completion of an evaluation form. Delegates should ensure they can attend the whole session and after the training should login to their account to complete the online evaluation and then be able to download their certificate of attendance.

Evaluations – will be sent at 3 and 6 month intervals following course completion, including to line managers, to evaluate the continued and ongoing impact of safeguarding practice from the learning.

Late arrivals - Participants turning up late for training events may be turned away, at the discretion of the trainer. Delegates who are denied entry by the training due to their late arrival may still be charged the full cost of the training event.

Data Protection - We are required to inform individuals about the information we hold about them. Lambeth Safeguarding Children Partnership records names, roles and contact details on a computerised database for the purposes of distributing the training brochure and to support the training records held by agencies. In addition, course evaluations and application details are held on an electronic database. Attendance and non-attendance information is recorded and reported to the Lambeth Safeguarding Children Partnership.

Training Charges - Prior to booking on to a training event, applicants are responsible for ensuring that they are aware of the charging and cancellation policy. Applicants must always follow their own agency processes when booking on to training events and are responsible for ensuring that line manager approval has been obtained.
